Happy 4th Birthday Reagan!!

I feel like she's grown up sooooo much recently.  We had a great time at her birthday party.  

Pinatas, water balloons and squirt guns, presents....

And finally we sang happy birthday to her.  She brought a tear to my eye with her joy celebrating turning 4.  Her face was the perfect shade of happiness and the laughter was contagious.

Exhausting

Frequently I feel guilty for running our kiddos from event to event.

Always doing something, always on the go.  

When they crash this hard during a car ride, I know we've overdone it.

Aloha Program

Mason had his end of the year program at school today.  It's always so sweet to see your kiddos performing for you.  He was a little nervous beforehand and super happy at the end.  

We have one more year at this amazing school.  Although he could technically go to kindergarten next year, we are allowing him one more year to grow at the transition program provided at this church preschool :) Grateful for such an incredible environment!!

Jimmy Buffett

Erin and I were given free tickets (thank you Eric Depoy) to a Jimmy Buffett concert.  

So what did we do?  Drink beer and take TOO many selfies ;)

Olivia is on the Waves swim team again this year.  We love our new coach and have made huge improvements.  She also has a small posse of friends which makes everything sooooo much more fun.  Unfortunately we've made too many other family plans this season and she will miss some meets, which means we just have to make the most of the ones we are there for!

She still only competes in freestyle and backstroke (they practicing breast stroke and butterfly at practice).  Freestyle is definitely her strongest stroke, although she loves practicing butterfly.

IRONMAN

Yesterday was the Ironman.  I love watching this event every single year.  Tim and I talk Swim/Bike/Run all day long...and then manage to not talk about it again for another 364 days.  

This year we actually knew some people participating so we headed down to Waterway Square to watch the finish line.

This is Mark, a dad from Olivia's soccer team.  AMAZING finish.  Mark, you are an IRONMAN.

 And this is Kaylee...she lives on our street and babysits for us.  She is 18 years old and the youngest participant yesterday.  And now...she's an IRONMAN!

WOW people.  WOW.

Reid's Baptism

The Murphy's asked Tim to be Reid's godfather.  It was such a nice, intimate ceremony.  He had both sets of grandparents there (today was also Hayden's First Holy Communion) along with a few family friends.  Reid did an INCREDIBLE job and even separated his shirt the second time Deacon John came to put oil on him :)   Thank you Murphy's for including us in this very special day.

ASTROS!

After traveling home from Austin this morning, we gathered our kiddos and went downtown to an Astros baseball game!

Our seats were incredible, although the kids were interested in sitting up high :)  We all ate lots of baseball food and tried to catch every ball that was hit.  

 Thank you Sean for these amazing tickets!  We had a great time!!

DMB - in Austin!

so remember how I mentioned we have lots going on?  well, it happens that we have a baptism for the murphy's youngest on Saturday, the day of The Woodlands DMB concert.  The good news...Dave is playing in Austin three days earlier.  So we bought tickets, got sitters, and traveled to Austin today.

The concert!  We thought that we had covered seats....oops! not.so.much.  And it definitely rained off and on.  Thankfully some nice guy nearby gave us some ponchos and the weather wasn't that bad.  The concert was amazing, as always, and we had a blast....including our uber drivers.  One driver that explained how they would kill someone?!? And the driver without a middle name...so we gave him one...  Juan Wayne...or J.Dub. :)

Birthday Celebration and Mother's Day Relaxation

The Murphy's traveled up to visit and celebrate the boys birthdays (they are one day apart).  We had such an awesome time I didn't take one picture of our Saturday celebrating in which we stayed up until 330am?!???!!!

Needless to say, that made waking up on Mother's Day a little more painful...however, the guys did pamper us and let us lounge on chairs by the pool.

However, we are celebrating lots of over the next couple of days :) :)

Sick

She's been sick for awhile.  Three different antibiotics in three weeks.  Can't seem to kick a cough, ear infection, and fever (a low grade fever that goes away for 12-15 hours and then comes back)  The most recent time I took her into the dr (which was one week from the last time...after we've already been on antibiotics) she said it was the worst ear infection she's seen all winter...in both ears.  

She said Olivia was one tough cookie and couldn't believe she wasn't more miserable (in fact, Olivia asked why she was going into the drs...haha)

Hoping third time is a charm!

A Side Pony

Sylvan Beach

We've failed our children.  They've only been to the beach once (myrtle beach).  So we tell the children that we are going to the beach tomorrow.  Immediately Olivia says she is going to get her suitcase and Mason starts screaming about flying in an airplane....

Oooppss...kiddos, we are going to a beach close by.

Mason wakes up this morning saying "Happy Beach Day".  The kids are more excited than Christmas morning :):)

Kevin and Erin found this perfect little beachy area.  It's free, on the bay, with close parking, restrooms and showers.  We've claimed a small section with rocks as a barrier on one side.  We arrived at 9am to an empty beach...by the time we left at 1:45pm, we literally had people all around us.

The kids had a blast!  They started with digging and building and creating and literally didn't stop until we told them to eat lunch.  The water was roped off, but they didn't venture out too far anyways.  The adults...sat in chairs the whole time.  It was one of the easiest parenting days.  

Needless to say, we WILL be heading back soon again!

Birthday Party

Two of these girls are in Olivia's class.  Loving her meeting new people and developing relationships.  This was her first, "drop off" birthday party :)
