My sister's friend Anna, was in a performance here in Houston (she lives in NYC).  So we definitely took up the offer to see the show! 

And somehow in the middle of act 2, I ended up on stage?!?!  

Dancing with a sixteen year old?! 

Awesome.

It was a very fun night!

Life is busy with kids in school and after school activities and soccer on the weekends.  We haven't been able to see our friends as much as we would like.  Thank you Outtens for having us over!

OJ and PJ Toast

We are Walkers

We leave the home at 7:35am and everyone needs to be dressed with lunches packed & backpacks ready.  We walk Olivia to school and by the time we get back home, it's 8:05am.  We wait 10 minutes and leave our house at 8:15 to get to Mason's school by 8:30.

In the afternoon, my alarm to pick up Mason goes off at 2:15, I need to be at his school by 2:30 so that I can pick him up and get home.  We get home and immediately jump out of the car to start walking and get Olivia by 3:05.  We usually get home by 3:30pm.

Fish, Worms, Eagle

On Sunday, the kids and I went out on my parents boat.  It was a lovely cool morning.  We caught three fish, the kids played with worms, and we saw a bald eagle.

Navy vs Texas State

This past weekend Tim had a boys trip to San Marcos to watch Navy beat Texas State.

I think they had a good time ;)

We had a good time at home too :)

Grandpa Hertel

Tim's Grandfather passed away this early morning.  

He was a great man, with incredible stories, and will be missed dearly.

It's Soccer Season!

Soccer has start again.  Olivia is on the same team ...U6 Girls...The Fireflies.  She practices on Fridays at 4:30pm.  

And this is Mason's FIRST season.  He has wanted to play in a soccer game since Olivia started!!  His team is the Alligators and he has his good friend from school, Kason, on the team!  They practice on Monday's at 5:15pm.

We love watching both of our children enjoy playing a team sport.  Also love that our kiddos have, by far, the best support team.  We always have a fan section that is almost as big as the rest of the team combined :)  That's kind-of awesome!

Ten minutes later, they went to the bathroom, brushed their teeth, put on pjs, picked out bedtime books, and Olivia started reading.

Today was a little more low key, but loved all the friendly "Great Wins" we got as we walked through town.

My cousin Alison drove us to visit gm&gp....ugh....i really miss them....

However, everyone kept the mood nice and light since we were all trying to allow Alison to focus on driving (she did an incredible job!).

A huge thank you to friends for watching our kiddos and to family for hosting us!  We truly had a wonderful time and can't wait to see you all again!

The BEST Game I've EVER ATTENDED!!

Hands down...one of my favorite days.

It was just one of those perfectly awesome weekends.

It started last night having a very nice evening with my aunts/uncles.  They're trying to get me to drop the aunt/uncle....but it just doesn't seem right.  So after having drinks and dinner with my Aunt Carolyn and Uncle Tim we went back to their house and hung out with my cousins and Uncle Mike and Aunt Lisa.  We had a really lovely evening and enjoyed talking with everyone.

The next morning we enjoyed a perfect quiet breakfast

Tooth #2

Last Friday, Olivia's 2nd tooth was super wiggly and needed to come out.  I made her a deal, if she pulled out her tooth today I would match whatever the tooth fairy would bring (we had a discussion about what this meant).  She went upstairs and came back down five minutes later.
