For the second year in a row, we were supposed to go camping the weekend before Thanksgiving.

But it was a complete rainout...boooo.

Olivia's Fall Festival

Olivia's class put on a short but very sweet show and then we had a feast in the classroom!

WHAT?!

The pool temp was 60 degrees.

The air temp was 67 degrees.

And these two were in the POOL!?

After ten minutes I told them they had to get out?!?

End of the Season

Mason had his end of the season soccer celebration at Fudruckers tonight.  It was an interesting season...4 year old boys spend A LOT of time on the ground and I have to admit, there were  many tears!  The celebration was a completely different story...  Lots of very excited and happy kiddos :)

Thankful Contest

A couple of weeks ago our neighbor let us know about a contest that our local dentist was having.  Children submit drawings of what they are thankful for and the winner has their artwork as the dentists' Thanksgiving card.

Headed Home

Although the house was not what we expected and we had NO cell service or internet....we had an awesome weekend.

On the way home we stopped at In-N-Out Burger (my first time...AMAZING!)...and then we slept some more ;)

A huge thank you to grandma and grandpa for helping with our kiddos!  We couldn't have done this without you and really appreciate it!!

Fredricksburg Day 2

I would love to report back that we visited all ten winerys in the area...however, we only made it to one!!  We slept in (a serious luxury...those kiddos get up early!), did some shopping, ate lunch, finally made it to a winery, which afterwards led to 2 hr naps, ate dinner out, and retreated to our little abode for a couple of drinks.  

One of the coolest parts of the day was right before dinner we were talking to this "bouncer" whose name was tim.  As we were leaving, I decided to ask the middle name question.

Fredricksburg

We took a little weekend trip to Fredricksburg, TX with the Murphys!  On the way down we stopped at The Garrison Brothers Distillery.  Very cool tour.  I recommend stopping there if you are in the area.  

Unfortunately the only picture I have after the distillery was one of the guys each holding an iphone charging cord?!?!!!

Before School

This is not something I asked them to do...but also something I'm going to support

Acorns!!

Our kiddos have been INTO acorns (or coconuts as Mason calls them).  So today, while driving we came to an oak tree forest and gave the kiddos baggies and didn't hear from them for 30 minutes!!

SONIC

So we may have started something that is deliciously bad.  We had our first visit to sonic and since everything is soooo crazy cheap (thank you happy hour), everyone got to pick ONE thing they wanted.  Needless to say, now when the kids see Sonic they start immediately screaming :o

There was treasure hunting (golf balls), follow the leader on bikes, and jump ropes.  

Then on one of her exploring walks, look what she found?!!!

A Tea Party

Olivia celebrated a soccer teammates Caelyn 5th birthday at a Tea Party. 

At first she was anxious about getting dressed up, worried that the other girls weren't going to be too.  Then when she walked in she relaxed and especially enjoyed painting her own tea cup :)

Mason's School Fall Festival

Last week we were up at Mason's school for a fall celebration.

Gymnastics!

Mason is still taking gymnastics.  His class is Mondays during the day (he's not in school on Monday and Friday).  He is now in a kid gym level 2 class, although his teacher is trying to organize a bronze class for him and a couple other boys.  He enjoys it and we like him practicing listening to other adults and working on body awareness and strength.
