Aloha Program

Olivia's preschool puts on an adorable Aloha Program filled with music and singing.  Olivia was quite the performer...lots of expression and hip movement :)  We loved hearing and seeing her little personality coming through on stage!

This weekend we have the privilege of watching Cameron and Connor while their parents attend a wedding in NOLA.  Cameron and Mason were inseparable.  They played NON-stop!!  And I have to admit, it was sweet to have a little guy in this house again.

Still Waking Up

So we've been busy and I remember waking up on this Sunday and excited that we didn't have anything going on (or so I thought).

The Hawks came over and we did some swimming/flipping.

And then I got a text message...."we missed you at the end of the year soccer party".  Ooopps!!! It should have registered immediately when I said, "I'm looking forward to having nothing to do today!"

He is still my Baby.

Saturday on Monday

Phew- maybe I haven't blogged for so long because we've been CRAAAAZY busy.  On Saturday after Olivia's swim meet, we met up with The Murphs and Tutors for some birthday Top Golf.

Besides mini-golf (which I haven't done since 2005ish in Va Beach), I have never held a golf club.  So I was a little nervous about this adventure.

Well, I definitely had my fair share of swings that looked like this....

haha...but it was an awesome time with great friends.  

Mother's Day!

We were lucky enough to spend Mother's Day out on Lake Conroe.  

Happy Mother's Day to My Mama!!!  I'm so thankful you are here and we are able to be together.

Swim Team

Olivia has started swim team!!!  She is on The Woodlands Waves.  Today is time trials.  She will just be swimming 25 free and 25 back with the 6&U.  There are 41 kids in this age group, 18 are girls, and only 5 girls that are 5 years old (the rest are 6).  

 WOW...I'm learning a lot as a "swim mom".  First, it's almost completely run by parents.  They need a ton of volunteers for every meet (Tim is a scribe)

We have to set an alarm on Saturday morning to be at the pool by 650am and we stay there until Olivia has finished swimming her two (maybe three if she is doing a relay) events.  She is in the pool for a total of 90 seconds, but we are there for well over 5 hours!!! WOW.  

However, it is COMPLETELY worth it...especially for those seconds she's in the water :)

she is the one with the pink swim cap ... and is the first one to jump in the water :) sooo cute!

Vegas Day 6 - Headed Home

A HUUUUUGE thank you to Grandma and Grandpa for watching our kiddos while we were on our trip.  We really appreciate being able to take this trip and couldn't have done it without you.

Vegas Day 5

Chris had to leave early this morning...so it was just me at the pool :)

Tim and I had dinner together and then had a quiet, peaceful evening... I think we are ready to be home!!  Although we both agreed that Vegas was fun, neither of us feels the urge to go back.  However, if there was another company function there, I would be there in an instant (and vow to go to more shows!).

Vegas Day 4

First -- happy birthday Tim!!!  Unfortunately, he had to spend his day in meetings...BLAH!

But, Chris and I managed to keep ourselves busy.  We indulged in China Poblano for lunch and then spent the afternoon by the pool.

Unfortunately, this is the only picture I have of the whole day!??! *gasp*

That evening we went to dinner with Tim's company and did A LOT more gambling. We saw a guy come to our table, put down $2400 in cash...put it all on black, WON, grabbed his chips and walked away with double.  CRAAAZZY.  I've never seen so much money exchanging hands... 

Cinco de Timo - Vegas Day 3

Ha - Erin posted in my comments for Vegas Day 2 - that she thought we might have been taken out by our 2nd day in Vegas...  I'm sorry...can't seem to get my act together with this blog.  

Everyone woke up surprisingly rather early and cheerful for the extreme day 2 we had.  Maybe it was something about the fact that Tim knew he was celebrating his last day being 34?  

We started with breakfast with the Outtens (we said goodbye to Tiff who had to go back to work...booo!).  

Then we did the tour of the strip...walked a ton...realized it was almost the exact same everywhere you went (hotel, casino, shopping, restaurants). 

Afterwards relaxed by the pool while Tim was at a meeting and then started to celebrate this guy's last hours being 34...

First it was dinner, then some simple gambling... Tim "won" twenty cents...and I think Chris had around $17 Big Winners.

Next stop was the Mix Lounge.  It had an incredible view of the strip...and there were some birthday shots...

Vegas Day 2

This morning started off with us meeting up with the other half of our "Texas Family".

And we went to brunch at Borders Grill, where there was bottomless Mimosas.....

WOW Vegas.  WoW.

 Then the Johnsons arrived....

We talked, rested, swam, sipped yummy cocktails, played games....

And the party continued...until it was time to go to the much anticipated MJ One Show.  
Notice that we are one "man down"?!

  The show was AMAZING.  I would go back to Vegas JUST to see this again.
Incredible.  

Helllllllooooo Vegas!!!

Since Tim has started in the wind business there is a huge conference every year...(last year it was in Chicago and I was supposed to go with him...details, here)  This year it was in VEGAS and my other dear friends were going too!!  

Yes, these favorite people kicked our seats throughout the whole flight ;)

Someone just asked me the other day, "When did you start to like living in Texas?" (bc if you all remember, I wasn't exactly happy about moving here).  My reply....  "When I met Tiffini".  Yes, she is that awesome.

Later that night the boys shared a shake ;)  

Afterwards we visited the Bellagio to see the fountains.  

Then we ended the night on the very tall ferris wheel, The High Roller.
