Sharing

Sometimes I feel like the only thing we share are germs
(we just had another tummy bug).  

But then again, I guess that's just what happens with little people.

And I couldn't tell them to stop sharing this moment ;)

The Barbie House

It's bedtime and Tim is tucking Olivia into bed.  He looks at the Barbie house and asks (while looking at me), "Who was playing Barbies today?"

Tiny Tiny

History:  Chris and I see each other and hang out multiple times a week.  There have been days where we are together more than apart. 

UNTIL RECENTLY.

(and that's to be expected with a newborn in town)

However, there were other factors that limited our visits.  

She had little Connor and we saw him in the hospital.  

Then Cameron was really sick.  

Then we were sick and definitely not going to bring germs.  

Then they got sick again.  

Not even joking.  

It's been 18 days since I've seen Connor.  It's unacceptable.  

But even more than not getting snuggle time with a sweet newborn.... It's my friend I've missed.

Thankful we finally got to catch up!!!

Uncle Kevin has been pretty fun to have living at our house.  He has cool toys like helicopters and RC cars.  He even cooks!  Notice the pizza in the oven?  That's his.  It was amazing.

Poor Mason-Man just can't keep the titles for the "extra men" in his life.  He calls Kevin Grandpa...all the time.

"Mason, that's Uncle Kevin."

"oh...Uncle Kevin"  "Grandpa, fly helicopter high?"

There's a new pup in our town.  

Things I've learned:

*he sleeps ALL DAY

*And then waits at the bottom of the stairs to tell you it's time to go to bed (not sure how he could be sleepy)

*loves to check the mail

*waits very patiently for his Daddy to get home

*has a deeper bark than Jerry

*gives kisses

*will sleep in the office with me while I'm working

*finds Jerry to be high strung.  They get along and then D gets tired and tells Jerry he's done.

Kevin's mom (aka: Grandma Jo) made the HUGE drive to Texas with Kevin.  The last day of their trip was her birthday.  Sooo...we celebrated.

Somehow I didn't get a picture of our gracious hosts??  Leslie and Pete have hosted this before and it's always a great time.  THANK YOU!. Got to catch up with a lot of our French Oaks peeps....we miss this crowd.  It's always a great time.

Look who we ran into there ;) Due to illnesses we haven't seen them since she had her baby 10 days ago. Needless to say, we miss them!

Mason & Mommy

No Thumb

Driving to San Antonio this little lady really wanted to suck her thumb.   This is such a hard habit to break :-/  She only sucks it in her bed at naps or bedtime.  Since naps are only happening a couple times a week, it's mainly just at bedtime.  

"Mommy, when I turn 5 I'll stop sucking my thumb."

A First

Today, for the first time, the kids did not have to get on an airplane to see either of their Grandmas :)  

This is VERY exciting. 

A 90th Birthday BASH!

And you thought yesterday was fun.... 

The grandkids enjoyed a morning movie, while Aunt Katie helped with the 90th decorations 

Then we walked to a mexican restaurant for breakfast.

After naps we prepared for a birthday dinner out....but not before a few presents...

Since we were all dressed up, we took an obscene amount of pictures...I've only included 1/16 of them

Lets go to dinner!

 After our tummies were stuffed, we left the kids to party with Grana and Grampa while we went out

Oh the Fun in San Antonio

 It started with a nice stroll along the riverwalk

There was a pit stop at the mall so the kids could play.

Next was a boat ride through the riverwalk area.

While the kiddos napped, the adults played.

After naps it was time to swim

The day ended with a delicious meal with lots of family.  

Needless to say it was a WONDERFUL day, packed with fun family time!

A 90th Birthday Weekend

Today we met up with 15+ other family members in San Antonio to spend the weekend celebrating Tim's Grandfather's 90th birthday.

Yes, we are talking about our soccer star, Olivia.  Today she scored her FIRST goal.  And then immediately after kick off after scoring her first goal, she runs back down the field to score ANOTHER!!

Grandma and Grandpa are here....TO CLOSE ON THEIR NEW HOUSE!

It's still a little surreal, I'm sure the first time we visit them at their home and only have to drive 20 mins will be a very cool experience.

It's Finished!!!

FINALLY!  The laundry room and fireplace are complete.   It's definitely been a process.  We've learned a little about remodeling...the ups and downs.  Picking out the tile TOOK FOREVER.  It was all me...I couldn't make a decision.  And then, the wrong tile was ordered.  Fixed that.  Next, we didn't order enough, then it was laid incorrectly....aaarrg!!!  Designs were contemplated and then revised.  Paint was applied, then sanded and applied again (repeat five times).  

However, that's all in the past and now we are left with such prettiness.  Can't wait to add some accessories everywhere.

 uuummm...so my walls are not a mustard color.....
