Sitting to Creeping

Olivia will now go from sitting to creeping on the ground...especially when the laptop is nearby :)

Grana & Grampa...

...are in Texas :) And they brought LOTS of fun stuff!! We are excited to spend the next six days playing and visiting.

Chatty

Olivia is exploring her voice and practicing various phonemes. She is increasing the number of consonant-vowel syllables and combinations....and we are loving it. I'm sure the day will come when I will wish for some quiet time, but for now...I can't get enough of it!

"Spill-Proof" Sippy Cup

The other day I was looking for a new sippy cup and came across this one...with huge letters "SPILL-PROOF". It wasn't the cheapest or the most expensive but looked to be a great cup.

So later that day I filled the sippy cup with water, put the "spill-proof" cup in my bag and walked out the door. Two minutes later my bag is wet and water is dripping down my leg.

THE CUP IS NOT SPILL-PROOF!!!

And yes, it leaked all over my cell phone. UGH!

Learned my first sippy cup lesson the hard way. I now have a new cell phone and I'm in the market for another sippy cup.

Sippy Cup and Puffs

Olivia is having a snack :) She can hold her sippy cup, but still hasn't mastered the tilting process. She can also pick up her puffs, but has a hard time letting go of them in her mouth.

Daddy and His Girl

Today was a first....Daddy and Olivia went out to the store...WITHOUT ME! And I spent some time home ALONE!

Baby Shower

Today Mike and Chris came over to celebrate their little bundle of joy :) They are waiting till the big day to find out the gender...so we went with a yellow and green theme (it's the same colors as the baby's nursery). It was adorable!!!

Tiff made an amazing fondant cake and I took care of the diaper cake.

We had a great time munching on food together and sharing pregnancy/labor/child rearing stories :) We are excited to meet Baby Outten.
Love these girls!

(OMG...Chris doesn't even look pregnant...and she's 9 months!!!
OH, and I'm standing on my tip-toes and still soooo short!).

Misson:

Get to my toys.

Gotta love this adorable version of creeping/crawling. The slamming of the chest into the ground...and inching around :)

7.23.2009

Carousel Ride

Today we met a good friend and her girls at the mall and took a ride on the carousel. This was Olivia's first time riding a carousel, and my first time paying for my child to have a ride on an overprice amusement machine. Five seconds into it moving, Olivia spit-up all over the horse!!! I almost followed suit as I REALLY dislike things that move in a circular motion...eeeww! However, after emptying her stomach she seemed to enjoy the simultaneous up-and-down and circular ride of the horse :)

Slumber Party and Bunco

Tonight we had our second Bunco night...and while we were playing, Tiffini's girls came over to have a sleepover with Olivia (Mr. Tim was the adult-in-charge). We think O was so excited to have her first slumber party that she had a difficult time getting to sleep :) FUN TIMES!!

Oh...and I didn't win bunco...ugh!
Next time Ladies, Next Time!

Diaper Cake

This Saturday we are hosting a baby shower for Mike and Chris. I went to my neighbor Jude to get advice on how to make a diaper cake...a she showed me the tricks :)
Here is the final product--

A Swimmer!

It's official...Olivia enjoys the water! She kicks her legs, puts her face in the water (sometimes inadvertently), splashes, and loves to jump while playing in the pool.

Fun times during hot days!

The Ladies

I am so lucky to live in such an amazing neighborhood!! Today was a ladies day. The six of us made plans for all 14 children and went out for some drinks at our local Mexican restaurant. It was wonderful to put on real clothes, chat without having to yell over a crying child, and have a "mommy" drink. Looking forward to doing it again!!!

Afterwards a couple of us continued the fun with a driveway party. We gave the kids the camera...and below are the results.

A Closet Full of...

CLOTHES and more clothes and more clothes!!!

This is one decked out baby -- a part of me wishes she would stay this size forever, just to get more use out of the lovely outfits.

Brown Eyes

Olivia officially has brown eyes. I kept holding out for the pretty green or hazel color...but after multiple random people have come up to her say, "Oh just look at your brown eyes..." I guess I can't deny it anymore.

You have your Mommy's eyes.

Found a fun game: This link can show you how genetics plays into eye color.

Mommy Has a Problem

I love to take pictures (there are multiple months with more than 1,000 pictures)...and now, I have no space left on my hard drive. SOOO....Tim bought a bigger hard drive and put it in his computer...and now it's my computer. He's also encouraged me to delete photos, which is easier said than done. UGH!

7.09.2009

Table Manners

Olivia is enjoying her highchair and feeding time. She holds onto her feet and tries to suck on them while eating....hhuumm...guess we need to work on our table manner a little :)

July 8 2008

These pictures are from a year ago. We scheduled a "sex check" ultrasound at 16 weeks...yes we wanted to know the sex...but I also just wanted to see more pictures of our baby!! Immediately the technician confirmed that our Mini was still a Lady :) The technician spent the next 25 minutes looking at our baby. She decided to take all the measurements that would be needed for the 20 week anatomy appointment...however our doctor said we would have to redo the ultrasound because it's too early...darn! We weren't sad at all!! This lovely lady also took TONS of pictures of our Mini Lady and we were thrilled! I kept commenting on how sweet that foot is...or arm...etc. Every time I said something, she took a picture. By the end, I think the technician caught onto my game...haha!
I finally gained some weight at this appointment. Only 3 pounds. If only I knew how I would later PACK ON the weight!!

Sleep and Pizza

Lol...I think Olivia was exhausted from all her fun travels. Here was her day:
8:30 wake up
9:15 nap
10:30 wake up for 20 minutes
10:50 nap
1:10 wake up
2:00 nap
4:05 wake up
5:00 nap
6:00 wake up
7:30 down for the night!!!
Basically she was awake for 4.5 hours today!!! Sleepy Baby!!!

For dinner we had pizza and Olivia was very interested in it. Sooo...we let her chew/suck on the crust. YUM YUM!

Leaving...

Boo... we had such a nice time with everyone...it's always sad when you say goodbye. We got to the airport and stopped by the President's Club and took Kevin with us. We enjoyed our time hanging out together....Olivia even took a short nap. And we caught glimpse of an interesting painted airplane.
Olivia did well on the flight home. She finally was able to fall asleep against me for a portion of the flight. Such a trooper!!

Thank you to my parents for hosting us and purchasing Olivia soooo many clothes.

Also thank you to Aunt Katie and Uncle Grady for the adorable outfits.

And to Aunt Erin and Uncle Kevin for the bibs, tutu and dress.

Fun Family Times

Today Tim and I accompanied Kevin and Erin while they registered at Babies R Us!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What an exciting time for them.

Then we had a quick photo session.

And finally enjoyed an amazing meal and played some games.

I love my family!
